PASSING A LAW THAT WILL KEEP PEOPLE FROM COMPLAINING ABOUT LARGE INDUSTRIAL FARMS WILL ENCOURAGE LARGE INDUSTRIAL FARMS TO COME AND POLLUTE OUR COMMUNITY.

 

The Town of Plymouth has passed an ordinance (circulated statewide by the Republican Party) that disempowers town governments from protecting its citizens from the widespread environmental and economic damage done by absentee corporate farms.  The following is the response of Afton Town Board Member and CC Green Party Chair Mary Jo Long to that same ordinance when it was introduced in Afton's Town Board:
