In "The Phantom Left" Chris Hedges wrote:
"The American left is a phantom... It perpetuates the myth of a democratic system that is influenced by the votes of citizens" ___________________
It’s too charitable of Hedges to refer to the “democratic system” as being a myth. It’s a BIG lie.
That BIG lie is perpetuated by everyone who thinks of Republicans and Democrats as being in separate parties, comprising a 2-party system, rather than what they actually are: two major ballot lines occupied by factions of one corporate party, along with many other minor faction ballot lines that are wholly owned subsidiaries of that corporate party.
There is no 2-party system. All of the conservatives and liberals work together within one corporate party... in a most sinister synergy.
The voting of “conservatives” for Republicans, and of liberal “progressives” for Democrats, has biennially proven that those massive factions share the same common global dominating and ruthless exploiting neoliberal strategic goals. Aside from generally sex related cultural issues, those two major factions of the corporate party just argue over **HOW** to get their shared evil done. The conservatives are pleased when evil is done open and crudely, but the liberals get angry if every evil isn’t most deviously and cleverly well done.
The (R) and (D) partnership has routinely produced 99% popular vote mandates approving perpetual war and planet exhausting resource extraction. Conservatives and liberals **ARE** each other... one unified Right that has given new meaning to “Solidarity Forever” in America.
Liberals are not now, nor were they ever part of the Left. It is those pernicious liberals who murdered the Left... who made it a phantom.
Is it “progressive” to vote for a Democrat, rather than a Republican? That’s a solely faith-based belief, and ill (as in sick) logic, that's comparable to a parent believing it’s “progress” if they demand that their child must be molested by a priest.
What's quite clear is that the liberals who vote for Democrats don't value their advertised liberal values, which they vote against with every vote they cast for any Democrat.
The liberals voting for Democrats need no courage. They haven’t any convictions requiring any courage.
It's obvious, to anyone attentive, that the reason Democrats don't do the good they could when they can is that Democrats do not have any good intentions. That should never be surprising. To become a [made gangster] corporate party candidate of any of that party’s all right-wing factions, it's a prerequisite for the prospective candidate to have a sociopath's intentions. They’re applying for jobs of corporate state gangsters, not public servants in a democracy.
THE 3 ELECTORAL CHOICES:
1) Natural people certain that elections will never serve any good purpose can passively resist, by not voting.
2) Natural people who think elections could possibly serve a good purpose someday can actively resist, by voting exclusively for non-corporate alternatives only, whether on-ballot or written-in... by voting, but never ever voting for any (R) or (D).
3) The factory farm bred corporate state useful idiots can remain part of the massive flock of passive sheep voters that’s regularly herded up by the reprehensible army of activist GOTV corporate (R) & (D) party operative people... their numbers being a great malignancy mindlessly causing human extinction.
The corporate party’s conservative and liberal voters use elections to loyally demonstrate their complete willingness to be free-will fully personally complicit in the continuum of corporate state crimes... a loyalty vote of confidence in and approval of criminal government.
The world doesn’t need America to have any inadequate 3rd party. The human existential need is for America to have a bold strong new 2nd party... one that militantly opposes the global fascism of the conservatives’ and liberals’ corporate party. |
